It costs an average of $900 per young person (annually) to deliver the Award programme in Bermuda and yet Bermuda is the only country in the world that offers the Award free of charge without imposing registration fees and/or online record book fees to our participants. 

Our Award Partners, by investing in Bermuda’s youth through this transformational programme, are a key factor in keeping the Award financially viable and accessible to all young people across the island.  Community fundraising events, combined with corporate and private donations, provide The Duke of Edinburgh’s International Award Bermuda with the necessary revenue that is required to meet the National Award’s operating obligations and helps ensure that all young people in Bermuda have free access to the unique opportunities provided by participating in the programme, regardless of anyone’s social or economic background.
